The Alliance of Healing Associations is a properly constituted charity that was originally formed in 1976 and finally acquired charity status in 1982. The Objectives of the Alliance are:-

    (i) Education of the public and healing organisations and improvement of good practice;

    (ii) implementation of standards of education and support of individual healing centres;

    (iii) through networking provide effective communication and interaction between member organisations;

    (iv) sourcing suitable cost-effective insurance cover for member organisations.

AHA is an Umbrella Group of some 40+ Healing Associations comprising approximately 3500 Accredited Healers and with about 1000 - half that number of Healers under training. The principle aim of AHA is "The promotion and advancement of spiritual healing". There is a 'Code of Conduct and a Complaints and Disciplinary Procedure' that comprehensively covers healing practice and ensures that high standards are maintained in all AHA healing associations. All AHA organisation Healers are fully insured to heal its public patronage in the UK, including animal patients.

The philosophy of our healing practice is non-denominational but with the acceptance that healing energies are directed by Higher Intelligence - the source to which our Healers attune themselves when giving the healing service. However it is Love for nature and our fellow man, developed by the self-cultivation of compassionate being, that motivates us to bring easement and relief from pain and suffering, with an improved quality of life for all who seek help.

Membership of the Alliance is open to Spiritual Healing Organisation's with charitable objectives that can satisfy the criteria for membership and are willing to accept and follow the AHA Code of Conduct and the Complaints and Disciplinary Procedures and its Constitution.

AHA has no central registered premises and is a voluntary organisation; officers and trustees, the majority of whom are healers, meeting as required on Association's premises, carry out the work of the charity. Member Associations organise healer training programmes and related workshops on a regular basis. Many also attend public meetings, Fayres and exhibition events where they take a stand or booth to demonstrate and promote Spiritual Healing.
